Dear Oatville Families,

Welcome back to the 2024-2025 school year! Our theme this year is “It’s Not About the Pieces, But How They Work Together”.  We believe that education is a collaborative effort, and we value the strong partnerships we have with our parents and community members. Your involvement and support are crucial to the success of our students. We encourage you to stay engaged and participate in school events and activities such as Site Council, PTO, volunteering in your child’s classroom or helping with field trips. Parents are even welcome to come eat lunch with their child.

Whether you are returning or new to our school, I want to warmly greet each of you! Below are some important dates to mark on your calendars:

Monday, August 12th-Check PowerSchool to find out who your child’s teacher will be.

Tuesday, August 13th-Open House is as follows (students last name): 5:30-6:00  A-G, 6:00-6:30, H-P, and 6:30-7:00  Q-Z. If you can’t make your scheduled time, feel free to come as needed. Students are welcome to bring school supplies.

Wednesday, August 14th-First Day of School -(PreK & K with Last Names A-M attend on the 14th and then N-Z on the 15th).  Parents are welcome to walk students to their classrooms the 1st day of school by entering through the bus doors/main entrance.

At Oatville Elementary, we take great pride in building relationships with our students and our school community.  Our mission is to make our school a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment that builds positive relationships with all staff, students, families, community members, and ensures learning and growth.  A parent handbook with our procedure/bell schedules will be provided at Open House and is also linked on this webpage. Please take time to read through it. I look forward to continuing to work with each of you to build a strong learning environment that helps move each student forward.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions at [email protected]!  YOU are an ESSENTIAL piece to our school community! I’m looking forward to seeing our smiling faces in the halls and classrooms soon.

Yours In Education,

Natalie Lightcap, Principal
